Originally appeared at Global Research: At first glance, the dispute between the US and China revolves around unfair competition and theft of intellectual property. On closer inspection it is about something much more fundamental, namely frantic attempts by Washington to preserve its hegemony over this planet. Are we heading for a clash between the two titans?

When it comes to the events of 9/11/2001, certain concerned citizens, having realized that the government’s explanations are wrong, have been trying to figure out what happened and who did it for nearly 20 years. During that time, a significant volume of evidence has been gathered and analyzed. With respect to “what happened?,” an abundance of high-quality evidence establishes beyond any reasonable doubt that three buildings were blown apart (of course, unreasonable doubt still flourishes). With respect to “who did it?,” however, the evidence is not as ironclad but is nonetheless highly suggestive of an inside job. Made-it-happen-on-purpose (“MIHOP”) is supported by an abundance of circumstantial evidence, some physical evidence, a logic test (“cui bono?”), and the classic crime-suspect test (“means, motive, and opportunity”). Though more work needs to be done to establish the “inside job” hypothesis as a certainty on par with the certainty of the reality of controlled demolition, for the purpose of this article, the inside-job hypothesis is accepted.

During the seventeenth anniversary of the events of 9/11, a number of the unsupportable explanations about the mechanics of "what happened" on 9/11 resurfaced. The 9/11 TAP contact-us form received numerous comments requesting that 9/11TAP become a proponent of positions, including, faked aircraft impacts at the Twin Towers on 9/11.  In particular, the comments expressed disagreement with an earlier article entitled Observed Deceleration of UA 175 during the Impact at the South Tower.  The resurgence of this proposition was amplified by a number of strident individuals commandeering e-mail threads and “shouting down”

Come From Away is a musical with book, music, and lyrics by Irene Sankoff and David Hein. It is set in the town of Gander, Newfoundland, in the days following the 9/11 attacks, when 38 planes were ordered to land unexpectedly at their airport as part of Operation Yellow Ribbon. The townspeople of Gander housed and fed the thousands of stranded passengers, who nearly doubled the population of the town. Many of the characters in the musical are based on, and share the names of, real Gander residents or stranded passengers.  Because this Broadway musical does not address any of the  flaws in the official
